Buying everything you need around Christmas… Love it or hate it, it has to be done! And you have to pay close attention, since you don’t want to miss anyone and spoil their Christmas. Yes, that’s a lot of pressure, but we’ve got you covered. To make Christmas shopping as stress free as possible – here are some simple Christmas shopping tips that we hope you’ll find useful.
Make a list and check it twice
Just like Santa… Put down the names of the people you love most (or not that much, but they should still be there) and then think about what present would make them happy. Add specific details, such as gift ideas, clothing and shoe sizes, notes about their favorite color or store, whatever information that may come handy when going shopping.
Set a budget and stick to it
One of the main reasons for concern over holiday shopping is overspending. We’ve all been there, experiencing a feeling of euphoria when adding new items in the shopping cart and a deep sadness when paying for them. To avoid that, figure out a total that you can afford and allocate portions of your budget towards each person.
Start early
Shopping early takes the pressure off, which allows you to be more creative when choosing the present. So keep your eyes open for holiday presents months before. Starting early might also be a good idea for online purchases, too. You’ll be able to take advantage of sales events when gifts are discounted, but make sure the presents have plenty of time to arrive. If offering mobile recharges as a gift for your family members or friends back home in Cuba sounds good to you, keep an eye on our upcoming Cubacel promos. The next one starts on December 6.
Map Out Your Shopping Trip
You don’t want to waste time running from one store to another, right? Make a strategic plan as to which stores you want to visit. Gather store catalogs together and circle the items you want to purchase. Investing time to look through catalogs to compare prices will help save a lot of time and money, two things we truly appreciate these days.
Gift Cards or gift experiences
They are always a good idea if you don’t have any other ideas and want to be sure your loved one gets exactly what they want. Or a gift experience… The experience is special as it is, but the memories they make will stick with them forever.
No matter what you choose, always remember to enjoy Christmas shopping and to remember that Christmas is “the most wonderful time of the year.”, as the song says…
